We are using a new location and new routes for the Wheelmen 100, which starts at the Texas Pride Restaurant. It is important for us to check out the roads to make sure there are no low water crossings, bad traffic areas, dogs, bad roads, etc. We have created three routes and all three routes are in RwGPS under the following titles:

#1: W100 Event 25 Mile with Section from 7 Mile (starts at Texas Pride)
#2: W100 Event 40 Mile Route Southern Loop (starts at Texas Pride)
#3: W100 Event 40 Mile Route Northern Loop: (starts at the intersection of FM 775 and Hartfield Road)

There are NO convenience store stops on route #3. Of course, there will be rest stops on the official event on September 29th.

Our wheels down time for the 25-mile route is 8 AM. This will ensure that those doing this route will not have to wait very long for those doing the 40-mile routes.

Our wheels down time for the 40-mile southern loop route is 7:30 AM.

The 40-mail northern loop route starts at 8 AM.

Plan on the ride taking longer than usual because you will be on the lookout for problems and stopping as needed to make notes.

After the rides, we will all meet up at Mexico Lindo (the old Brietzke's) in New Berlin for lunch to share notes on the three routes.
